FRCC’s production of ‘Hamlet’ opens Oct. 29 at Fort Collins theater

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Front Range Community College Theater Program production of “Hamlet” opens Friday, Oct. 29, at Bas Bleu Theatre in Fort Collins.

Peter Anthony, an award-winning director and theater instructor at FRCC, presents a compelling, edgy, and urbane staging of William Shakespeare’s timeless classic of a young prince charged with avenging the murder of his father and King.

Jake Offen, an FRCC student who has performed for both OpenStage and Bas Bleu theater companies, stars in the title role. Deb Note-Farwell, a distinguished member of the Bas Bleu company, plays Hamlet’s mother, Gertrude, Queen of Denmark.

This is a limited engagement, with performances scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29 and 30 and Nov. 4, 5, and 6, and at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 31.
