The strength of a business or organization is often determined by the knowledge of its personnel. With this in mind, the Extended Studies department at Northeastern Junior College announces a return of its Management Leadership training program again this spring. This dynamic offering, designed for working professionals, once again challenges local business and industry owners and employees to invest in learning ways to be better in 2011.
The dust has finally settled and the bids have been honored. The Northeastern Junior College athletic department and the Plainsmen Athletic Group are pleased to be able to report that the Cajun boil fundraiser that occurred in late October brought in $39,884 in athletic scholarship funding. The donors were extremely generous this year, responding to the college’s need for more private money to help build up the scholarship account so that coaches can continue to entice high quality athletes to choose NJC as their place to play while they get a college education.
The 2010-2011 school year is well underway for the health science technology students (also known as med prep) and Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) at Northeastern Junior College. This active group has completed a number of projects and activities already this fall.
