Walio and Eurich selected for scholarships

The Faculty Association at Northeastern Junior College has selected two area students for its 2011 scholarship awards. Tuku Walio of Fort Morgan and Morgan Eurich of Holyoke will each receive a $250 award.

Walio is a sophomore student studying international business relations and Eurich is currently in the wind technology program. He also studied business at NJC.

Each year the Faculty Association will select two full-time students for these scholarships. Students are nominated by the faculty and then asked to write a one page essay. A committee made up of faculty members representing the various academic areas of campus reviews the essays and selects the winners.

The funds for the scholarship are raised through faculty association dues. Faculty Association President Kevin Stump presented the awards to the students last week.
