LITTLETON, Colo. (Mar. 29, 2012) – The Arapahoe Community College Student Government will sponsor a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Saturday, Apr. 14, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Park in Littleton.
The cost to compete in the tournament, which is open to ACC students, staff and the general public, is $30 per team. Proceeds will benefit Shiloh House, a non-profit organization in Littleton whose mission is to offer a nurturing, therapeutic and educational environment to those lives impacted by abuse, neglect and trauma.
It is through guidance, clinical intervention and advocacy that Shiloh House strives to meet the needs of the individual, while respecting the diversity of youth and families. Shiloh House offers counseling to children struggling in the foster care system, housing and support for teenage mothers, treatment for youth diagnosed with mental, emotional and behavioral health disorders, as well as housing for homeless youth in crisis. Shiloh House provides excellence in academic assistance for these youth, providing specialized education with outcomes of increased graduation rates in Colorado.
