LITTLETON, Colo. (Apr. 9, 2012) – Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock will serve as the keynote speaker at Arapahoe Community College’s Sixth Annual Scholarship Luncheon on Friday, Apr. 27, as announced today by Courtney Loehfelm, Executive Director of the ACC Foundation.
The ACC Foundation will recognize scholarship recipients and the donors who have made their opportunities possible. Local K-12 partners from the seven public school districts in the ACC service area will be honored, as well.
Furthermore, ACC will present its “Promoting the Power of Education” award to Mayor Hancock at the luncheon, which will run from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Dining Hall (Room M1900) at the Littleton Campus.
“It will be an honor to welcome Mayor Hancock to ACC on Apr. 27,” stated Dr. Diana Doyle, President of Arapahoe Community College. “This fundraiser allows us to continue supporting our mission of strengthening ACC’s role in serving the educational needs of our community.”
The ACC Foundation is a charitable, non-profit corporation dedicated to developing friends, raising funds and providing broad-based community support for Arapahoe Community College.
