CNCC Makes History

This was sent out CNCC district-wide from the women’s basketball coach, Antowin Edwards, see below…

Good Morning All,
Last night the Spartans came out fighting and represented the institution like never before. Last night the women’s basketball program beat Salt Lake City Community College on their floor for first time in school history.
CNCC 50  vs. SLCC 46
The ladies fought hard and battled  back after two slow starts at the beginning of each half.  They never stopped believing that they could beat this team on their floor.  As a coaching staff we were so proud of how our kids found a way to dig deep in the late moments of the game and make big plays down the stretch.  It was a total team effort from start to finish, and great win for our institution.

The men’s team just ran out of time but they too put on a great show.  Khalid Smith and Tommy Powers played as well as I have ever seen them play.  Making tough play after tough play.   Putting this undermanned team on their shoulders and battling the number one ranked team our conference.
I want you to take a moment and recognize each program for their efforts, and how well they have been representing our institution on floor.  Please tune in on Saturday as the women’s and men’s basketball program battle Snow College.

Thanks for your support.  GO SPARTANS!!!!!!!!!
