San Isabel Electric awards $2,000 to Trinidad State Booster Clu

IMG_6601SIEA_check2(TRINIDAD, COLORADO)  The Trinidad State Booster Club was the recipient of $2,000 Wednesday from San Isabel Electric Association, headquartered in Pueblo West, and Basin Electric Power Cooperative of North Dakota.   The money will be used for future athletic scholarships.  Trinidad State Junior College features eight sports: Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Volleyball, Golf, Softball and Baseball.

“San Isabel Electric has long been a partner with Trinidad State through the lineman program but we also support educational endeavors within our service community,” said Ashley Valdez, Communications Manager at San Isabel Electric.  IMG_6601“That is one of our core principles that we follow is giving back to the community and primarily through education.”

Basin Electric provides electricity to San Isabel Electric, and donated half the money.  San Isabel Electric provides power to Pueblo West, Walsenburg, Rye, Beulah, Colorado City, La Veta, Cuchara and other rural areas surrounding Trinidad including Branson.
