Community College of Denver makes applying for scholarships easier

(Denver, CO)  Community College of Denver has implemented AcademicWorks, an online tool that allows students to easily apply for scholarships; now students can easily search, apply and accept awards for scholarship opportunities. After completing the scholarship application, students are automatically matched to available and relevant scholarships. Students can then review additional scholarship award requirements, if any, and accept the awards online.

AcademicWorks also benefits the college providing a review of committee scholarship funds by student or specific scholarships and allows staff to easily access audit records of all historic activity for any scholarship fund, including application data, reviewer ratings, and award information.

AcademicWorks is accessible at CCD by visiting A print out of available scholarships is also available. In addition, each Wednesday the Scholarship Team offers walk in help for completion of scholarship applications from 12:30-2:30 p.m. and assistance writing scholarship essays from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Confluence, room 120 on the Auraria Campus.

Providing scholarship management to colleges, universities and institutions, utilization of AcademicWorks offers improved compliance, utilization, and stewardship of scholarship funds.  Through implementation of the AcademicWorks program, CCD is providing greater convenience to students and greater efficiencies in the management of scholarships for CCD and the CCD Foundation.
